Finding your size
Our sizes follow the standard Indian ready-to-wear run. Measure yourself once, write it down, and you will never guess again.
Body measurements
In inches. These are your measurements, not the garment’s — we add the ease.

Between two sizes? Take the larger one. A lehenga or a blouse can be taken in by any tailor; letting one out depends on how much seam allowance the karigar left, and on a heavily worked piece that is often none.
With a tape measure
How to measure
Two minutes, over your underwear rather than clothes, with the tape snug but never tight.
Bust
Around the fullest part, tape level all the way round and not pulled tight. Wear the bra you would wear with the outfit — it changes this measurement more than people expect.
Waist
The narrowest part of your torso, usually an inch above the navel. Breathe out, but do not hold it in.
Hip
Around the fullest part, roughly eight inches below the waist, feet together.
Lehenga length
From your waist to the floor, in the heels you plan to wear. This is the measurement people forget, and it is the one that cannot be fixed later.
What “Free Size” means
A piece with no fitted bodice — most sarees, some shararas and a lot of dupattas. The garment does not have a size because nothing about it needs one. Where a saree comes with a blouse piece, that is unstitched cloth for your tailor rather than a finished blouse, and the listing says so.
Why the chart is a guide
These pieces are hand-finished in small runs. Two lehengas of the same size, cut by the same karigar, can differ by half an inch — that is what hand-made means, and it is not a fault. Every listing carries its own measurements where they differ from this chart, and those win.
