Careers
Work on something made by hand
A small team selling Indian ethnic wear bought directly from karigars and weaving families.
We are small, which is worth being honest about: everyone here does more than one job, decisions are made in a day rather than a quarter, and there is nowhere to hide. It suits some people enormously and other people not at all.
What we care about is judgement. Anyone can follow a process; the useful person is the one who notices the process is wrong.
Openings
Nothing open right now
No vacancies at the moment — and we would rather say so than list roles that do not exist. Write to us anyway if you are one of the people below; we keep good letters.
Always
Who we want to hear from
Karigars and weaving families
If you make it — zardozi, gota, chikankari, handloom — we would rather buy from you directly than through four hands.
Merchandising and buying
Someone who can look at a piece and tell what the zari is, what it cost to make, and whether it will sell.
Photography and styling
Ethnic wear is difficult to shoot well. If your portfolio proves otherwise, show us.
Customer care
The person who answers "will this fit" honestly, and would rather lose a sale than process a return.
Write to lehangabazar@gmail.com with what you do and one thing you have made. A portfolio, a photograph of your work, a page you wrote — anything real beats a template.
